MicroResp™ is a unique microplate-based respiration system that enables the user to analyse up to 96 soil, sediment or water samples and test a range of carbon sources and/or replicates in a small compact space.

While some sole C-source tests tend to select for fast-growing bacteria and rely on growth of organisms, MicroResp™ gives more immediate responses to these substrates and reflects activity rather than growth by measuring responses in the first 6 hours. MicroResp™ is currently being used to carry out colorimetric detection or 14C detection measuring CO2 evolved from carbon substrate utilisation in soils. This methodology can be adapted to suit any experimental schedule and microplate reader although calibration is required.

什么是MicroResp™？

MicroResp™是一个独特的基于微孔板的呼吸系统，它使用户能够在一个小且紧凑的空间内分析多达96个土壤、沉积物或水样，

并测试一系列碳源以及进行重复实验。


虽然一些仅针对C-源的测试倾向于选择快速生长的细菌并依赖生物体的生长，但MicroResp™能在前6小时内对这些底物做出更

快速的响应，并通过测量响应来反映活性而非生长。

Dendritics公司主要关注人类树突状细胞，希望找到能够促使CD34+造血前体细胞转化为树突状细胞（在GM-CSF和TNF-alpha存在的情况下）的细胞因子。在1992-2005年间，大量的研究使得研究者对人类树突状细胞的产生、细胞通路、C-type凝集素受体的功能及Toll-like受体的活性有了更深的理解。

 

DENDRITICS was started in 2005 by former members of SCHERING PLOUGH Laboratory for Immunological Research (LIR) in Dardilly, France. From their long experience at LIR, the team members of DENDRITICS have gathered complementary scientific and technological knowledge in different areas of immunology. The initial focus of LIR was in the biology of B lymphocytes, elaboration of human monoclonal antibodies, and in cytokine discovery (IL-3, IL-4, IL-7, IL-10, IL-17, GM-CSF) together with our colleagues of DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto, California.

 

Our interest in cytokines led to the finding that human dendritic cells (DCs) could be generated in vitro from CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors cultured in the presence of GM-CSF and TNF-alpha.

 

The period from 1992 to 2005 saw the specialization of LIR in DC biology and was fuelled by a large-scale effort to discover and study the function of genes specifically expressed by these cells. This program led to a number of findings that contributed in particular to understanding the heterogeneity of DCs, the pathways regulating DC migration, the function of C-type lectin receptors in DCs and the activity of Toll-like receptors in DCs. Many novel genes were discovered through screening of cDNA libraries or through monoclonal antibodies raised against DCs.

PhytoTechnology Laboratories manufactures and distributes products to the plant tissue culture, plant biotechnology, and plant science markets. Our products are used to mass propagate plants on sterile culture media in laboratory settings. We also supply products for the genetic improvement of plants through gene transformation research. Manufacturing, product development, administration and distribution of products are all performed at the PhytoTechnology Laboratories campus (20,000 square feet of production and research and development space) in Overland Park, a suburb of the Kansas City metro area in Kansas. This central US location provides direct access to most major markets around the world.
